Your life at De Nobili...
As teacher, my most satisfied and memorable moment as a teacher was when I got an award last year for 15 years of teaching. My most important and memorable day as coordinator was, when Fr George Thana handed me the keys of the junior school with lot of expectations in his eyes.
Is co-education necessary for our school?
Co-education is the need of the hour. Having a non coed school will not solve the problem in today's society. In my opinion, De Nobili School FRI should have been made co ed long back. Co education should be encouraged and it should be brought up. It is important for gender equality and for better build up of character.
How do you relax?
I am a very relaxed personality. At home, I relax by watching football match. I am fond of ghazals, too. I lie staying with my family at home. I don't believe in trips and tours.
Who has been your inspiration in life?
My inspiration has been my parents, my guru - Mr Raymond Perry and one and only Mother Teresa.
What changes you wish to bring in the school?
The biggest change I wish to bring is to draw the junior school to the competition among the branch schools. I want to organise AV rooms, Saturday activities after the school and remedial classes.
What is the next step you want to take?
I want to make a different De Nobili. A Nobilian has to stand tall and look different from others. There should be difference among the Nobilians and others. I want others to take Nobilians as role models, inspiration and example for others.
Your experience with the Jesuits...
Jesuits have their own system and their own way. Everyday, working under them, is a learning process. Working with them, we get to know the importance of moral values and time, which is inculcated in us right from our childhood. I've learned commitment from the Jesuits. I've learned from them to sit on the peak as well as down to depth. Right from Fr Macfarland to Fr Sebastian, I've learned to do anything I want.
What day you think about our website?
I think, this is a great work, this website is doing. In fact, it should be more updated with each and every activities of the school. The website allows the connection of the ex Nobilians with our schools.
Message to the nobilians...
A person is successful if he has goals that are worthy of the values they hold.So success is really a progressive realization of worthy goals and is a journey not a destination, because when you get there, there is something more to do.As worthy nobilians one should have meaning and purpose in life to be successful.
