Your life at De Nobili... I am an ex-student of De Nobili school. I was born in a family of teachers. Infact, my father was the first teacher in this School. I completed my graduation, masters degree and B. ED from Ranchi university. I joined De Nobili School in October 1992. Before that I was teacher in three different schools. I have an experience of 23 years of teaching. What inspired you to take up the teaching profession? The biggest inspiration was my mother because she herself was a teacher. From my childhood, I saw teachers coming to my house. I think this profession is very attractive and inspirational. I remember in my childhood, I used to play games pretending to be a teacher.

For thousand of boys who studied at De Nobili Junior School, there was a lady who personificed love and dedication. Her thin looks and calm gait, had charms of their own. How silence would follow her into the class was strange and then how would unveil our interests in the most boring subjects, I can clearly recollect in Std 2 she taught me drawing. So can all my friends, its not the sharpness of our memories, but simply her persona. It saddens me to announce that before the new sessions began, Mrs Ratna Rao bid her farewell to De Nobili in an emotional ceremony, leaving behind sweet memories, that every Nobilian who passed by her hands, would cherish forever.

The canopy of the Jackfruit tree, against the sun, granting us a shade, looks down upon a retiring man, [he knows so well], the man he has seen for many past years run between classes with unparalleled enthusiasm, and he grows keen to hear what is being said, what is the exchange between a student and a teacher.
Q: Sir ! what is De Nobili to you ? A: It is certainly more than a school, it is like the sun around which my life for the past year has revolved.
