The meeting of Jesuit Alumni Association was held at St Xavier's College Ranchi at 10am, on 20th July 2008, which was attended by about 30 people from 5 Jesuit Provinces of Central Zone, viz. Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dumka-Raiganj, Hazaribagh and Chattisgarh and a number of alumni units of these provinces. Some major issues of the National Alumni Congress held at Trivandrum in 2007 were highlighted by Fr Bob Slattery, former JEA Secretary and an active supporter of alumni activities at Charhi, Hazaribagh.
Fr George Fernandes, SJ and Mr Bernard Pandey represented the Nobilians from Dhanbad. The topics of waterharvesting, fighting corruption etc were highlighted. The enthusiasm of the alumni gathered to get into concrete action was truly touching and inspiring.
